American Camp Association Lobbies VP Pence to Open Camps During COVID
Meow Meow Foundation has just learned that the American Camp Association (ACA), the nation’s only camp accreditation body, had a direct call with Vice President Mike Pence to discuss the organization’s demand to reopen summer camps during the height of COVID.
Despite the fact that America is enduring the profound ravages of a pandemic, of which Pence is the czar for mitigation efforts, and despite the fact the nation’s economy is on a collision course with the Great Depression, Pence somehow found the time to bend an ear for a camp organization laser-focused on putting children in high-risk environments.
Pence said, via his Twitter feed, “Great call with @ACAcamps today about how we can safely reopen summer camps across the country.” Here is a list of the participants on the call, which includes ACA president Tom Rosenberg.
Rosenberg has aggressively lobbied Centers for Disease Control. He previously said that COVID-19 is an “existential threat” to the camp community, and people across the nation need camps more than ever.
There is no evidence that camps are adequately prepared to manage the ravages of such a deadly infectious disease. In fact, camps are already experiencing serious COVID-19 outbreaks, including one camp with 49 positive cases and counting.
Despite the fact that camp season has just commenced, the below media reports cite just some of these incidents. In addition, Meow Meow Foundation will also soon release some rather disturbing revelations about Tom Rosenberg and the ACA regarding coordination efforts with the camp responsible for killing Roxie Forbes last June.
