Our little girl drowned because owners and staffers from Summerkids Camp (Altadena, CA) prioritized profit over protections. Their gross negligence caused the horrific, preventable drowning death of the only child we had, 6-year-old Roxie. We did not drown her, but we should have demanded more answers before trusting this facility, which admitted to operating a scheme to fraudulently certify counselors as lifeguards. We now help others eliminate this deadly and wholly preventable outcome.
