We’ve had a lot going on, to say the very least. And we are WAY overdue in putting this information on our site. However, we did want to include a blurb about a smart girl who submitted a cool suggestion for our water safety contest.

ELIZABETH RENGIFO won our contest. Yay, Elizabeth!

Her suggestion was to develop swim goggles with some sort of warning sensor. Right on! We are even thinking of taking that up a notch to reinvent goggles altogether so they become child-friendly AND stylish AND a drowning prevention tool.

While COVID-19 has slowed us a bit, we will be reaching out this coming year to community design and development partners so that we can further explore this and other potentially lifesaving innovations.

Thanks again to everyone who submitted. It was great to spend (socially distanced!) time with Elizabeth and her mother Jenny. We are thrilled that they enjoyed our basket full of Meow Meow Foundation goodies.

And, hey everyone, never hesitate to share a good idea with us.

We love and reward those who invest in children’s health and safety.
