Our girl is gone. Our heartache is oceans deep and mountains high. And the magical life we led through her wide open eyes and great big heart is forever over as we knew it.

Oh, do we miss you, sweet love. Oh, did this world lose a light as bright as a million suns. We promised you when you walked the earth that we would never let you down, that we would help you leave this place better than you found it.

But you were stolen from this place with us in your wake. So what do we do now but to keep you alive any way we can.

Before you had even made your way upright, Grandma Carole gave you a little feline friend named Scrappy Cat. And in short order you discarded that moniker for one far better… Meow Meow.

She gave you the comfort even we sometimes could not provide. Your epic adventures together behind closed eyelids deep in the night or in backyards, car seats, hospital beds, parks and playgrounds were the stuff of which movies are made.

Therefore, we wanted to honor your beloved comfort companion in a way you would have adored.

Rox, we promise to share you two and your adventures via a series of books and short films that we hope will inspire other children to live out their dreams the way they should and to be loved at every turn along this ever-winding road we call life.

Here is our homemade original. We love you to the moon and back, Roxie. Meow Meow misses her favorite friend so, so, so much. This short piece is dedicated to Grandma Carole for bringing you two together.
